Have the open month's name ready, and one report you can point at. A parts total with no job under it, a summary batch, an open core, labor with no technician, or a drawer that was forced to balance. You do not need a polished export before the hour.
That hour is talk about one missed report. A signed scope is what opens the month, and the hour alone does not. We will say what that scope would cover. The named month is opened only after both sides sign. If all you needed was to hear that the send was a summary, the hour can stop there.
