Who these terms are with.

Using this shop address means you accept what is on this page. What is and is not done here is set out on the disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.

What the pages are, and are not.

Everything published here is general information for an owner who wants a shop file cleaned up, the month closed, and the return built from those months. It is not advice about your own numbers. Opening it does not make you a client. Rules land differently on different shops, so confirm anything that matters for your return before you act on it.

This site is not the tax agency and it is not a state tax office. A sentence here does not bind either office and does not bind you. This practice does not repair cars. The shop-screen vendor is not us, and Intuit is not us.

A free call is a conversation.

The time offered on the calendar creates no engagement, no ongoing duty, and no obligation on either side. We will say plainly what we see and what an engagement would involve, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet, or that a signature you want is not one this practice gives.

Work begins only when both of us sign a written engagement that names the scope and the fee.

Scope and fees.

Every engagement is defined in writing before it starts. Fees are quoted for that scope. Anything outside it is quoted separately before it is done. Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You remain responsible for fees earned to that date, and your records are returned to you.

What the work depends on from you.

The work is only as good as what it is built on. You are responsible for giving complete records, for the accuracy of what is in your own systems, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when a parts total does not tie to a job. We will not build a return on a month that has not closed.

Original papers stay with you. We work from copies unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. The login stays with you.

The site itself.

The words, layouts, and images on this site belong to the practice that publishes it. You may read, print and quote them with attribution. Republishing the site, or using it to train a product, needs written permission.

The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, and we do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Where this is governed.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas. Any dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
